Site Search Enhancements
Site and Product Search have been enhanced to improve your customers experience when using your Obiweb managed site. These enhancements apply to searches on all types of pages including product catalogues, forums, blogs, and web pages.
Faster
Search is now significantly faster. Our performance testing show Search Results that were previously displayed in seconds are now taking milliseconds. Less time waiting on results means less chance of customers leaving site.
Context
Previously the Search Results just displayed the first paragraph of matching pages. Now the actual text around the Search Term is displayed in the Search Results. The Search Term is also highlighted in the Search Result snippet. This will make it easier for your customer to find exactly what they are looking for on your site.
Seamless
Existing Obiweb clients do not need to do anything to take advantage of these enhancements. The Obiweb team will provide a seamless upgrade to the Site Search facility on your site so you can start taking advantage of these enhancements.
